The only thing I can think of is that it looks like the passenger in the car is smoking a long cigarette and smashed it against the window trying to get a better look at the bear. Because apparently not even a bear scavenging around your campsite is reason enough to take it out of your mouth.
Not that she couldn’t have smashed a regular sized cigarette against the window, being as stupid as she is.
“Hey, it’s a giant fucking bear! Let’s climb into our tiny car, light up, roll down the windows a bit, and taunt him until he goes away.”
